About Joint Ventures and the team
Joint Ventures is a cannabis dispensary that provides a pathway between nationally recognized cannabis based brands and customers. Annually, we host several events in which we invite several collaborative brands. During these events, we allow these brands the ability to market and sell their products.
Based on the results of sales as well as the connections built with our clientele, these brands then have the opportunity to become an official vendor for Joint Ventures, allowing us access to sell their products within our dispensary. This joint collaboration allows clients to purchase products that are not readily available within their area, as well as allows brands to expand their clientele nationally.
Joint Ventures was created in 2024 in the newly legalized state of Ohio by a group of ambitious product experts. The company is equally owned and managed by this team.
Before joining Cleveland Codes, I worked as a math teacher for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. I always encouraged my students to push themselves and try new things - and I realized it was time for me to do the same! I am looking to make the transition from math teacher into the world of Software Engineering. The Cleveland Codes program has given me a great foundation from which I can grow my skills, and I hope to find an entry level position and/or internship where I can continue my learning. When I’m not coding, I enjoy riding my bike on the towpath, taking walks, and hanging out with my cat, Raisin.
I recieved my bachelor's degree from Kent State University in Visual Communication Design and currently work as a front-end web designer for a marketing agency. I felt it was important to be able to develop the designs I create, independent of website editors such as Wordpress, leading me to the Cleveland Codes program. I'm really excited to apply the things I've learned and transition into a development role. I look forward to the potential opportunities that will come from me obatining these new skills. When I'm not coding, I enjoy working out, finding a good Netflix docu-series to binge watch, and spending time with my family and my dog Zeke.
I’m a graduate of Cleveland State University with a bachelors in medical sciences, but I have always had passion for technology and computers as well. Cleveland codes gave me the opportunity to learn more about the development side of computer applications and websites. Cleveland codes helped me get familiar with the different tools that are available such as visual code studio or MySQL or frameworks such as web2py etc. Now I feel comfortable with the tools and source code for software development and can build valuable projects that can be implemented into the society. Short term goal is to land a entry level job in the software development field. Long term goal is to use my medical skills and software development skills to build software or equipment that will help the medical field improve and help people live healthier lives.
